Why this frame

BIG STAR. A shape that needs no explanation.

A wide front and a decisive line. BIG STAR is one of the shapes that makes YouNick recognisable at first sight.

This frame was not designed to disappear on the face. Its 155 mm front creates a strong proportion, while the semi-transparent green reveals the depth of the acetate instead of hiding the construction behind a flat colour.

The gold-toned core visible through the temple becomes part of the frame's appearance. The technical detail and colour work together, giving BIG STAR character from every angle.

A wide front needs material and construction that can build its shape. Italian Mazzucchelli acetate creates the form, a metal core stabilises the temple, and a 7-barrel hinge connects it to the front. Each frame is assembled by hand and checked before dispatch.
